DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN YUCATÁN

A Relaxed Start to Your Spanish Immersion in Mexico

Upon your arrival in Cancún, we will travel to Mérida by Maya Train or ADO bus to begin the experience. After check-in, we will share a welcome dinner, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other and start practicing Spanish in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

DAY 2 – DISCOVERING MÉRIDA

History, Culture, and First Conversations in Spanish

The day will begin with a Spanish lesson about the history of Mexico, adapted to your level. In the afternoon, we will explore Mérida’s historic center and finish the day in a traditional cantina, one of the most representative spaces of Yucatecan social life.

DAY 3 – CHICHÉN ITZÁ AND IK KIL CENOTE

An Immersion into the Mayan World

We will visit Chichén Itzá and the Ik Kil Cenote, two of Yucatán’s most iconic landmarks. Throughout the day, participants will practice Spanish through conversations about Mayan history, culture, and traditions while experiencing one of Mexico’s most remarkable archaeological sites.

DAY 4 – YUCATECAN CRAFTS AND TRADITIONS

Discovering culture through its most authentic expressions

After a Spanish lesson about Mexican handicrafts, we will take part in a traditional craft workshop and learn about some of Yucatán’s most representative traditions. In the afternoon, we will attend a performance of traditional Yucatecan dance (jarana) and enjoy the famous Mérida Serenade.

DAY 5 – GASTRONOMY AND LOCAL CULTURE

Flavors and traditions of contemporary Yucatán

After a discussion about Mexican cuisine we will visit a local market to discover regional ingredients, customs, and ways of life. Later, we will participate in a Mexican cooking workshop and learn about the ancient Mayan ball game.

DAY 6 – WELLNESS AND LOCAL CULTURE

Learning Spanish also means enjoying your surroundings

The day will combine relaxation activities, a Spanish class, yoga, and moments of social interaction. We will end the day celebrating an authentic Mexican Night in a festive and welcoming atmosphere.

DAY 7 – MÉRIDA BY BICYCLE AND FREE TIME

Time to explore and practice Spanish naturally

We will take a bicycle tour through Mérida to discover new corners of the city. The rest of the day will be free to relax, visit markets, cafés, or simply enjoy local life.

Day 8 – MAYA WORLD MUSEUM AND WELLNESS

Contemporary culture and ancestral heritage

The day will begin with a Spanish lesson and continue with a visit to the Maya World Museum, one of the most important cultural institutions in the region. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a yoga and meditation session to balance learning and well-being.

Day 9 – HEADING TO THE SEA

Relaxed beaches and natural conversation

After our Spanish lesson, we will travel to Progreso using local transportation, an excellent opportunity to observe everyday life in the region. Later, we will enjoy free time by the sea and relaxation activities along the coast, staying in comfortable beachfront accommodation..

Days 10/11 – FREE TIME BY THE SEA

Discover Progreso at your own pace

These two days are dedicated to enjoying the Yucatán coast with complete freedom. You can relax by the sea, stroll along Progreso’s boardwalk, discover local cafés and restaurants, and practice Spanish naturally in everyday situations while enjoying the peaceful and authentic atmosphere of coastal life.

Day 12 – SPANISH AND SALSA

Learning through music and movement

We will begin the day with a new Spanish lesson, and in the afternoon we will take part in a salsa class. A fun and engaging way to connect with Latin American culture.

Day 13 – CULTURAL GATHERING AND FAREWELL DINNER

Sharing traditions and celebrating the journey

After a free morning, participants will collaboratively prepare a traditional dish from their home country to share with the group. The day will conclude with a farewell dinner, a special moment to exchange experiences, practice Spanish, and celebrate everything learned during the immersion program.

Day 15 –RETURN HOME AND END OF THE PROGRAM

No. The program is open to students of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners.

Depending on the option selected, you may stay at the teacher’s home or in a hotel. Hotel accommodation includes a shared quadruple room by default. Triple, double, and private rooms are available at an additional cost.

The program includes daily breakfasts and selected lunches or dinners. All other meals are at the participant’s discretion.

Yes. Transportation related to the activities included in the program is covered.

Immersions at the teacher’s home take place in small groups of up to four participants. We can also organize larger groups with hotel accommodation.
