DAy 1
Arrival in Yucatán – Spanish Immersion Welcome
Depending on your arrival time and travel preference, enjoy a scenic journey on the new Maya Train or a comfortable, safe ADO bus transfer from Cancún Airport to Mérida. Upon arrival, you’ll be personally welcomed and escorted to your destination. At the house, a welcome cocktail and light snack await, along with a special welcome kit including a detailed map, practical and cultural information, a local magazine, and a thoughtful gift to start your language training and Spanish immersion in Yucatán.
DAY 2
Welcome & First Encounter with Mérida
Begin your Yucatán adventure with a warm welcome at our home, where we’ll share insights about Mexico, Yucatán, and Mérida’s rich history. Enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch before exploring the vibrant heart of the city. In the afternoon, a guided walking tour through the historic center will reveal its colonial architecture, charming plazas, and captivating legends. End the day in an iconic cantina, experiencing live music and the authentic local atmosphere — the perfect start to your language training and Spanish immersion journey.

Flavors of Yucatán and Evening Stroll
Immerse yourself in Yucatán’s rich culinary culture, starting with a talk about Mexican and Yucatecan cuisine. We’ll visit the local market to select fresh, authentic ingredients for our cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Mexican recipes. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy the dishes together in a relaxed setting. Following a well-deserved rest, we’ll explore Mérida at night with a scenic walk along the elegant Paseo de Montejo, admiring its beautifully lit colonial mansions — a delicious blend of culture, history, and authentic Spanish immersion.

Day of Traditions and Folklore
Experience a full day of immersion in Yucatán’s artistic and cultural expressions. We’ll start with a talk on Mexican handicrafts followed by a hands-on workshop in crochet, hat making, or another local artisan technique, discovering the region’s creativity up close. In the afternoon, you’ll learn the lively rhythm of jarana, Yucatán’s colorful traditional dance. To end the day, we’ll enjoy a cultural evening in Mérida at the magical Santa Lucía Serenade — a weekly open-air show filled with live music, troubadours, poetry, and the warm charm of folklore under the starry sky, making your Spanish immersion truly unforgettable.
DAY 5
Mayan Wonders and Magical Town
Start the day with an enriching excursion that blends history, culture, and nature. We’ll explore the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Chichén Itzá with a local guide, uncovering the secrets and splendor of the ancient Maya civilization. Next, we’ll visit Izamal, the charming “Yellow Town,” where pre-Hispanic traces meet Spanish colonial heritage. After enjoying a delicious Yucatecan lunch, we’ll end the day with a refreshing swim in a cenote — the spectacular natural sinkholes that make Yucatán unique. This experience is not only a journey through heritage but also a living part of your Spanish immersion adventure.
DAY 6
Coast, Seafood & Maya Heritage
After an early breakfast, we’ll head from Mérida to the Yucatán coast. Our first stop is Puerto Progreso, where we’ll stroll along the malecón and enjoy views of the Gulf of Mexico. We’ll continue to Playa de los Columpios, a seaside paradise where you can swim, walk along the shore, explore mangroves, and savor a traditional Mexican seafood lunch right by the ocean. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to relax before a unique cultural experience: attending Pok Ta Pok, the ancient Maya ball game, in Mérida’s historic center — a captivating blend of tradition, history, and your ongoing Spanish immersion journey.
DAY 7
A Day Tailored to You
This day is designed to adapt to your personal interests. After breakfast, immerse yourself in the local culture through your favorite sport or cultural activity — from attending a local match, practicing a traditional game, to joining a community custom. Following a typical lunch and a well-deserved rest, we’ll end the day with a social gathering at a local bar, perfect for experiencing the city’s vibrant nightlife and deepening your Spanish immersion and language training in an authentic setting.
DAY 8
Beauty, Relaxation & Wellness
A day to nourish both mind and body. In the morning, we’ll visit the fascinating Museo del Mundo Maya, revealing the region’s historical and cultural richness. After a comforting lunch, enjoy a hands-on workshop reviewing vocabulary related to beauty and haircare. The afternoon is fully dedicated to relaxation with a three-hour spa session including a body massage, facial treatment, and hand and foot care — ending the day refreshed, energized, and fully immersed in Spanish language training and cultural experiences.
DAY 9
Nature and Relaxation by the Sea
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast before a full-day excursion to El Corchito Ecological Reserve, exploring its crystal-clear waters and enjoying the region’s lush flora and fauna in a protected natural environment. In the late afternoon, we’ll move to a confortable beachfront condo at Playa Progreso to relax and refresh. The day concludes with an evening stroll through the charming coastal town of Progreso, followed by a dinner featuring local flavors — a perfect blend of cultural immersion, Spanish language training, and relaxation by the sea.
DAYS 10-11
Free Days at Your Own Pace
These days are designed for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches at your own pace. Meals and drinks are not included, giving you the freedom to choose where and what to taste. The area offers a wide selection of carefully recommended bars and restaurants, where you can savor authentic local dishes and fully experience Yucatán’s rich culinary culture — all while continuing your Spanish immersion and language training in a real-world setting.
DAY 12
Yucatecan Hacienda Experience
We’ll start the day with a pickup from your accommodation and a hearty breakfast to prepare for the adventure. Then, visit an authentic Yucatecan hacienda, discovering the history, architecture, and traditions that define these iconic rural estates. This is an immersive experience into both the past and present of the Yucatán countryside, offering a close encounter with its natural and cultural environment while enhancing your Spanish immersion and language training.
DAY 13
Cultural Exchange & Farewell
We’ll start the morning with a relaxed breakfast before heading to Parque La Plancha, a vibrant space full of art, fountains, and bike paths, where you can interact with locals and experience the everyday rhythm of the city. At midday, we’ll enjoy an international culinary exchange, where the student will share and prepare a light traditional dish from their country, along with its story and traditions. The afternoon is free to rest or explore at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll gather for a heartfelt farewell dinner, savoring authentic Cuban cuisine in a warm and festive atmosphere, while continuing your Spanish immersion and language training experience.
DAY 14
History & Chocolate Experience
After an early breakfast, we’ll head to the impressive archaeological site of Uxmal, exploring its majestic Maya ruins, admiring its unique architecture, and uncovering the mysteries of this ancient civilization. Later, enjoy a sensory experience at the Chocolate Museum, tasting exquisite flavors that connect the ancestral cacao tradition with modern culinary art. In the afternoon, we’ll set aside time to reflect on the entire cultural immersion. You’ll also record a video to share your impressions and describe how this experience has enriched your Spanish learning, language training, and connection with Yucatán’s cultural heritage.
DAY 15
Farewell Day & Return Journey
After an early breakfast, we’ll accompany you to the terminal for your train back to Cancún. The journey ends with a direct arrival at the airport, ensuring a smooth and comfortable farewell, completing your immersive Spanish experience and language training in Yucatán.
